Securities Associate - Toronto

WeirFoulds is seeking a securities lawyer to join our thriving Securities Group. The ideal candidate will have:
  • 4-6 years of securities law experience at a large firm 
  • Strong technical legal, research and drafting skills combined with excellent organization skills 
  • Demonstrated strengths in entrepreneurialism including client service, client relationships and client development
  • Ability to work with lawyers at all levels and be a team player
  • Able to balance competing demands as well as being self-motivated, innovative and flexible
  • Confidence to manage files and clients independently
  • Excellent academic credentials.
The successful candidate will work with our experienced team of lawyers on a variety of challenging and diverse matters ranging from financing and regulatory matters, including initial public offerings, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations and stock exchange listing applications. Our lawyers represent private and public corporations, investment banks, financial institutions, issuers, underwriters and selling shareholders.
