WeirFoulds is seeking a litigation associate to join our thriving Regulatory Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have:

• 2-3 years of civil litigation experience, including hearing experience and some administrative / public law experience at a firm with a significant focus on administrative / public law
• Strong technical, legal, research and drafting skills combined with excellent organization skills
• Demonstrated strengths in entrepreneurialism including client service, client relationships and client development
• Ability to work with lawyers at all levels and be a team player
• Able to balance competing demands as well as being self-motivated, innovative and flexible
• Ability to manage document intensive files
• Confidence to manage files and clients independently
• Excellent academic credentials

The successful candidate will work with our experienced team of lawyers on a variety of challenging and diverse matters ranging from professional regulation and discipline cases, judicial reviews of government decision-making, alcohol and gaming matters, and access to information and privacy matters. Our lawyers represent professional regulatory colleges, regulatory authorities, universities, public companies, owner-managed businesses, and private foundations.
