We are delighted to announce that Clare Burns has been selected as a recipient of the 2014 Lexpert Zenith Award for her work in estate and personal tax planning. This year the award recognizes lawyers called between 1986 and 2000 who have demonstrated excellence and thought leadership in their respective practice area – setting new standards for the profession.
Clare’s practice focuses on trusts, estates and capacity litigation. In 2013–2014, she argued two reported estate cases before the Ontario Court of Appeal as well as several estate, trust and capacity cases in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
We are extremely proud of Clare for her outstanding work and her continued contribution to excellence within the legal community. She is in exceptionally good company, receiving her honour at an awards ceremony in Toronto on October 2nd alongside a number of accomplished lawyers from across Canada, including two of the firm’s in-house counsel clients – Catherine Chow of Keg Restaurants and David Goldman of Skyline International Development Inc., who were recognized for their Corporate Mid-Market excellence.
WeirFoulds congratulates all of the 2014 Zenith Award recipients. We are honoured to work with such outstanding professionals.
