Associate Vipal Jain will speak at the IAPP Canada Privacy Symposium 2024 on Monday, June 10, 2024.

The symposium is Canada's must-attend privacy event, and will feature commissioners and experts who will provide you with the insight you need to help support your company with its privacy concerns. Breakout sessions will cover updates on Canadian and non-Canadian privacy laws and regulations, as well as topics ranging from privacy in healthcare to risk management and AI governance.

Vipal will present during "Challenges and Strategies in Navigating Multiple Privacy Laws", a session that will discuss the challenges of managing compliance with diverse — and sometimes conflicting — privacy laws. Speakers will discuss tensions across multiple privacy laws that affect Canadian companies. They will also address how companies can efficiently coordinate privacy requirements when negotiating privacy provisions and giving advice to their clients. The panelists will draw out principles from major privacy laws to teach attendees about the basic commonalities and differences between major laws. Speakers will share their “wish list” for upcoming legislation.
