The event is part of a content-focused series that is meant for the professionals who own, create, design, build, lease and consult across the shopping centre industry in addition to landlords and tenants, such as lawyers, architects, consultants, marketers and more.
Thursday, May 1
- Robert Eisenberg will deliver welcoming remarks and introduce the conference's programming.
- Abbey Sinclair and Alyssa Armstrong will co-present a roundtable titled "What Leasing Lawyers Need to Know About Expropriation".
- Arman Poushin will speak during a roundtable titled "Drafting and Negotiating Tenant Allowances Clauses and Tenant Remedies if a Landlord Fails to Pay".
- Karsten Lee will serve as a panelist on "Losing Control! Key Changes to the Competition Act and the Impact on Commercial Leases". In this general session, a representative of the Competition Bureau and leading professionals in commercial leasing and competition law will examine and provide their insights on the particulars of the recent changes to the Competition Act relating to property controls in commercial leases and the impact of these changes on the commercial real estate industry in Canada.
- Krista Chaytor will participate in a roundtable titled "Tenant Defaults - What to Do and Not to Do".

- Janet Bobechko will take part in a roundtable titled "Sustainable Developments and Sustainable Operation of Shopping Centres."
