Osgoode Certificate in Construction Law – Osgoode Professional Development

Partners Glen Ackerley and Wojtek Jaskiewicz will serve as faculty for the Osgoode Certificate in Construction Law, a course being offered by Osgoode Professional Development from Thursday, October 31 - Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

Today’s construction projects are highly complex and present numerous and challenging risks to all stakeholders. A comprehensive understanding of the key issues and potential liability exposures in this high-stakes area is essential. In this intensive certificate course, attendees will join 30+ senior legal and construction professionals to learn what you need to know about crucial construction law concepts, from contract formation to dispute resolution.

On November 4, Glenn will take part in "Module 3 - Advanced Procurement, Liens and Claims", which will focus on advanced issues in procurement, construction claims such as legal issues and technical issues, and include an expert panel commenting on key construction liens and prompt payment developments.

On November 5, Wojtek will participate in "Module 4 - Top 5 Elements You Need to Know in Key Areas of Law Impacting Construction", which will address concepts such as construction insurance, surety bonding, insolvency and restructuring, environmental law, labour law, and health and safety.
