Partners Lucinda (Lucy) Main and Jennifer Corak will speak during The Annotated Powers of Attorney for Property and for Personal Care 2024, a webinar that will be hosted by the Law Society of Ontario on Wednesday, January 24th, 2024.

This program lines up expert panels that hone in on the essential drafting and litigation issues for both types of POAs. Attendees will also receive valuable and up-to-date annotated POA precedents so that they can apply their knowledge to the files on their desk right now.

Jennifer will serve as a panellist during "Issues Relating to POAs for Property", which will focus on springing effectiveness vs. effective immediately, international issues/property in multiple jurisdictions (particularly the United States), doing multiple POAs, revocation clauses, definitions of what property is covered, and more.

Later during the program, Lucy will present during "A Hodgepodge of Issues Affecting POAs", which will address jointly vs. jointly and severally, majority clauses, interplay between property decisions and personal care decision if different person are appointed, privacy concerns, and encouraging clients to explain decisions to family and friends.
