Glenn Ackerley, chair of WeirFoulds’ Construction practice, is featured in the Daily Commercial News for moderating an industry panel at the Toronto Construction Association (TCA)’s annual Members’ Day on May 11, 2016.
Titled “Expert review of Ontario Construction Lien Act — how will it affect the Construction Sector?”, the panel spoke on updating the Lien Act, dealing with prompt payment and incorporating a dispute-resolution mechanism, “three distinct policy fields that could either be dealt with in one piece of comprehensive reform legislation or in separate bills.”
Glenn, former TCA chair, notes that “In all likelihood these three concepts will be woven together in some fashion where at the moment we only have one.”
