WeirFoulds LLP is pleased to announce that executive partner Lisa Borsook has been named a recipient in the Women’s Executive Network’s (WXN) 2014 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards in the RBC Champions Category. These awards celebrate and highlight the professional achievements of women across the country in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Winners will be honoured at a gala on November 27, 2014.
Our firm and clients have long benefited from Lisa’s exceptional skills as an accomplished lawyer, a committed role model and a passionate contributor to her community. A leading authority in property development, commercial leasing and infrastructure, Lisa represents local, national and international clients in her practice areas.
As an RBC Champion, Lisa is recognized as a dedicated mentor, role model and agent of change to advance women in the Canadian workplace. Lisa has always been a strong advocate for women in the legal profession, and has used her unique position as one of Canada’s first female law-firm managing partners to promote the advancement of women lawyers. The award also recognizes Lisa for her long-standing involvement in a number of charities, both personally and with the firm, including the Women’s Brain Health Initiative, where she currently serves on the board.
In 2013, Lisa was honoured in the KPMG Professionals Category for her achievements as managing partner and her leadership vision.
We are thrilled to see Lisa’s outstanding work continue to receive such well-deserved and highly regarded public recognition. Congratulations to Lisa and all of WXN’s Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winners – from all of us at WeirFoulds.
