WeirFoulds is pleased to announce that Partner Raj Anand has received the 2021 Society of Ontario Adjudicators and Regulators (“SOAR”) Medal. SOAR is a non-government, non-partisan organization of agency chairs, members (adjudicators) and staff devoted to the improvement of Ontario’s administrative justice system in the public interest.
The SOAR Medal is a top recognition of those who have made a significant contribution and demonstrated their commitment to the field of administrative justice, who have been dedicated and active members or supporters of SOAR, and who have made a significant contribution to the administrative justice and to the well-being of the community at large.
Raj is a senior litigator and administrative and human rights lawyer whose contributions in the area of administrative justice are numerous. He is a former Chief Commissioner of the Ontario Human Rights Commission and was an elected bencher of the Law Society of Ontario from 2007 to 2019. Raj has held an extensive list of professional titles throughout his career and received a wide array of awards.
We are extremely proud that Raj has been so deservedly recognized in this fashion and we congratulate him on this very well-deserved honour.
