Alfred Pepushaj is an Associate in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group at WeirFoulds LLP. He focuses on complex corporate and commercial litigation, including fraud, contract breaches, and shareholder disputes, as well as trusts and estates litigation involving will challenges, fiduciary breaches, and contested asset distributions.
Alfred brings rigorous preparation, sound judgment, and a strategic approach to every matter. His client-first approach and strong work ethic ensure that no stone is left unturned in understanding and advancing his clients’ objectives.
Alfred has extensive experience in trials, injunctive relief, and alternative dispute resolution, including mediations and international arbitration under major institutional rules. He also regularly handles complex cross-border matters, working closely with counsel and service providers in jurisdictions such as the United States, the Caribbean, and Europe.
Alfred obtained his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Ottawa, where he actively contributed to the academic and student community. He served as an Associate Editor of the Ottawa Law Review and News Editor of Inter Alia, the law school’s student-run newspaper. As co-president of the law school’s First Generation Network chapter, Alfred worked to support students who were the first in their families to pursue post-secondary education. He also served as a Legal Writing Leader for the law school’s Legal Writing Academy, mentoring students to develop effective legal writing and research skills. Additionally, he volunteered as a caseworker with the law school’s Ticket Defence Program, providing legal support and representation to homeless and street-involved individuals.
