Denna has extensive experience advancing and defending actions involving contract disputes, priority contests under federal insolvency regimes, statutory trusts, commercial fraud, consumer protection and product liability issues, securities fraud, breach of fiduciary duties and claims made under the Wishart Act.
Since joining WeirFoulds, Denna has concentrated his commercial disputes practice within the cryptocurrency, blockchain and Web3 space. His mandates have included the tracing and recovery of misappropriated digital assets, anti-money laundering investigations and the pursuit of injunctive relief freezing cryptocurrency exchange platform accounts. His experiences advancing such claims for fraud have encompassed both domestic and international conspiracies.
Denna received his J.D. and M.B.A degrees from the University of Toronto, where he was a recipient of the Rotman Scholar Award. He previously obtained his B.A. from the University of Toronto, graduating with high distinction in 2017.
