Katherine Chan is an Associate in the Municipal Law Practice Group at WeirFoulds LLP.

Katherine is an advocate specializing in expropriation, municipal, and land use planning law. She has successfully represented clients before the Ontario Land Tribunal, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Ontario Court of Justice.

She was a co-lecturer with Sylvain Rouleau of Municipal Law during the Winter 2024 semester at Toronto Metropolitan University’s Juris Doctor Program.

Katherine also has a broad practice as a commercial, real estate and construction litigator.

Earlier in her career, Katherine worked as Government Counsel for the Hong Kong Department of Justice, specializing in tax litigation, town planning and building appeals, with reported judgments in Hong Kong law reports.
