Melisa Filson

Melisa has over 20 years of experience in the legal field with a wide range of knowledge in matters pertaining to property and leasing, having previously supported the Commercial Leasing Practice Group as a law clerk for 13 years.

Melisa drafts and negotiates leasing documentation, including leases (based on many different forms and complexities depending on the client), assignments of lease, lease amending agreements, lease extension agreements, lease expansion agreements, consents to sublease, consents to assignment, lease termination agreements, consents to change of control, landlord waivers and indemnity agreements. She also participates in lease due diligence teams concerning significant property acquisition transactions, and advises clients regarding leasing matters and leasing documentations.
