Yulya Margolin is a Law Clerk at WeirFoulds.
She focuses on financial transactions involving municipalities (in Ontario and other provinces), provincial and territorial government bodies and Crown corporations. Responsibilities involve managing complex files from inception to completion requiring a high level of expertise, including, but not limited to: (a) reviewing authorizing documents of municipal issuers relating to pending financing transactions, providing reports to the supervising lawyer/ issuers/ underwriting syndicate leads; (b) preparing initial drafts and final (execution) versions of relevant by-laws, debenture/bond certificates, municipal officers’ certificates; (c) drafting transactional opinion letters; (d) liaising with municipal clients, underwriting syndicate leads, in-house legal counsel and officers of Ontario Infrastructure and Lands Corporation (OILC) and Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM); (e) preparing draft ‘client alerts’ relating to legislative amendments and practices for investment dealer clients; (f) communicating with clients in respect of various issues to maintain good client relations.
