Glenn and Sanra have repeatedly been ranked in previous editions of the Lexpert 500 guide, while this is Janet’s first time being ranked.
The Lexpert 500 guide ranks legal professionals and firms who are considered to be the most highly regarded in the Canadian legal profession across more than 33 practice areas of importance to an American audience, with the rankings based on the results of a comprehensive, nationwide annual survey.
Glenn Ackerley is recognized in the Construction Law category. Glenn is the Chair of WeirFoulds’ Construction Practice Group, with a practice focused on construction law, construction liens and construction litigation. He is regularly consulted about negotiating and preparing construction and consultant contracts, procurement and tendering issues, and risk avoidance strategies, and is highly active in the industry, participating on boards, committees and working groups to support and improve the industry.
Sandra Astolfo is recognized in the Construction Law category. For almost 30 years, Sandra has worked with clients on a wide range of infrastructure and construction matters, advocating on behalf of all project participants. Sandra has significant experience in negotiating construction agreements, litigation, providing contract administration advice, and mediating and arbitrating disputes. She is an active member of the broader construction industry, and is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education programs and industry conferences. Sandra is a Fellow of both the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers and the Construction Lawyers Society of America.
Janet Bobechko is recognized in the Environmental category. She is a Certified Specialist in Environmental Law and a nationally recognized senior practitioner with extensive experience in all aspects of environmental law, climate change and sustainability, including supply chain transparency. Her environmental law practice is focused on climate change and sustainability, Environment Social Governance (ESG), real estate and brownfield development and environmental dispute resolution.
