WeirFoulds is pleased to announce that associate Cassie Chaloux has been appointed to a two-year term on The Advocates’ Society’s Young Advocates Standing Committee (YASC).
With a practice encompassing all areas of construction law, Cassie represents a variety of clients, including suppliers, contractors, consultants, and public institutions. Cassie has represented her clients before a variety of Ontario courts and has experience with alternative dispute resolution.
For over 60 years, The Advocates’ Society has served as a trusted resource for thousands of advocates across Canada, acting as a nationwide network, offering professional development conferences and educational programs, and fostering an active community of mentors.
The organization’s Young Advocates Standing Committee has a mandate to be a voice for advocates who have been called to the bar within the past 10 years, providing them with access to a community of peers and colleagues and a platform within the Society. The YASC consists of approximately 40 members, and works to ensure that issues of concern to young advocates are addressed while organizing networking and mentoring events, publishing articles through a quarterly newsletter, and connecting young advocates with volunteer opportunities.
