Last month, WeirFoulds brought the 2023 edition of its annual fundraising campaign in support of United Way Greater Toronto to a close. The firm’s United Way Committee organized and executed a variety of fundraising activities that assisted in raising funds for the important work carried out by the United Way.
Working alongside a network of agencies, United Way uses the donations it receives to fight poverty at the local level across the Greater Toronto Area, as well as throughout Canada, providing all those within our communities access to the opportunities, resources and connections they need to build quality lives. WeirFoulds is proud to once again support United Way’s mission to effect lasting change by building stronger, healthier and more prosperous communities.
This year’s campaign featured a program of fun and involving in-person events, including a few rounds of bingo, a challenging trivia event, a Mario Kart tournament, and a firmwide talent show. For the first time since the start of the pandemic, the United Way resumed its flagship event, the CN Tower climb, which saw 13 brave WeirFoulds lawyers and staff conquer the 1,776 steps to the top.
We thank our United Way Committee, and other personnel who volunteered to lend their assistance, for organizing another successful fundraising campaign. We also thank everyone who made a gift to the United Way or donated a prize for our campaign.
We look forward to the 2024 campaign and congratulate United Way on the excellent work it has done to help those in need across Canada.
