WeirFoulds is pleased to share that Clare Burns, Partner in our Wills, Trusts & Estates Practice Group, was made an Honorary Alumnus of Wycliffe College at the University of Toronto at the College’s Convocation ceremony on May 9, 2022.
This award recognizes Clare’s 19 years of volunteer experience with Wycliffe’s associated church community in her role as first Vice-Chancellor and now Chancellor of the Anglican Diocese of Toronto. Clare is an experienced litigator who acts in complex and highly sensitive matters, having represented clients in numerous reported cases over her career, while also having a history of engagement in the legal profession and broader community. She has been the recipient of several awards including a 2019 accolade as one of Toronto’s “Lawyers of the Year”, a 2014 Lexpert Zenith Award for excellence, a 2002 Ontario Volunteer Service Award and multiple years of recognition as a leading practitioner by both Chambers and Best Lawyers in Canada.
Through her years of loyal dedication to the Anglican Church and her broader commitment to engaging with her community, Clare exemplifies the values of local service that define WeirFoulds.
