WeirFoulds is pleased to announce that Marie-Andrée Vermette, Partner and Chair of the Commercial Litigation Practice Group, has been appointed Vice-President of the Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario (AJEFO).
Marie-Andrée has been a member of the AJEFO’s Board of Directors for three years, and a member of the Executive Committee for one year. The Board is responsible for managing and supervising the activities and affairs of the AJEFO.
Marie-Andrée specializes in complex litigation cases, including high-profile commercial disputes, class actions and public law cases. She is called to the bar in both Quebec and Ontario. Her skills and reputation as an innovative litigator have resulted in her repeated recognition as a leading practitioner in commercial litigation and public law litigation.
Marie-Andrée offers services to clients in both English and French.
The AJEFO was established more than 35 years ago. Its mission is to promote access to justice in French in Ontario in order to ensure equitable access to justice in both official languages. It is a not-for-profit association with more than 1,100 members, including French-speaking judges, lawyers, law students and other jurists.
