WeirFoulds is delighted to announce that we have once again been recognized by our peers, colleagues and clients as one of the Top 10 Ontario Regional Firms in Canadian Lawyer Magazine’s 2023 survey. WeirFoulds has previously been ranked in the biannual Top 10 Ontario Regional Firm lists in 2021, 2019 and 2013, and was ranked first in the 2017 and 2015 lists.
Some of the praise that this year’s voters gave WeirFoulds includes noting that the firm provides “excellent client service and top-notch talent in a wide range of areas” and the “service and competence are unparalleled.”
The law firms ranked this year have all “established themselves as guiding lights in diverse practice areas of law and are successfully navigating complex challenges in the competitive industry,” and “are thriving in all facets of their practice and assisting their clients to succeed.”
As part of their announcement, Canadian Lawyer Magazine interviewed Co-Managing Partner Wayne Egan, who commented that the firm’s key business philosophy is rooted in continuing “to generate a group of lawyers who focus on the entrepreneurial nature of what we do, and they bring a different skill set when working for that business client.”
Wayne added that “Whether it’s a litigation, municipal, or corporate issue, I think you get really good at putting yourself into the client’s position and thinking about what it is they need to accomplish and then delivering on that in a way that allows them to meet all of their goals.”
Canadian Lawyer Magazine surveyed lawyers, in-house counsel and clients from across Canada to nominate firms worthy of being ranked, and then created an open survey from that list which was distributed throughout the publication’s channels. Voters were asked to make their choices based on each firm’s “regional service coverage, client base, notable mandates, service excellence and legal expertise.”
Thank you to our peers, colleagues and clients for once again recognizing us with this honour, and congratulations to all of the firms ranked in the survey this year.
