WeirFoulds is pleased to announce that Bradley N. McLellan was presented with the Ontario Bar Association’s 2011 Award of Excellence in Real Estate on June 21, 2011.
The OBA’s Award of Excellence in Real Estate recognizes exceptional contributions and/or achievements in real estate law by members of the OBA in the following areas: teaching of real estate law; development of real estate law including lecturing, scholarly writing and lobbying; enhancement of the practice of real estate law; and leadership in the real estate bar, the government, the Law Society of Upper Canada and the OBA in relation to real estate issues, real estate legislation and the operation of the Land Registration System.
Brad is a Partner and the Chair of WeirFoulds’ Commercial Real Estate practice. WeirFoulds has been recognized as one of the leading law firms in Toronto and Ontario in real estate law by Best Lawyers in Canada. Brad is an acknowledged expert in the purchase, sale and financing of commercial real estate and has been recognized many times by Lexpert® as a leading practitioner in the field of property development.
Brad taught the Real Estate Transactions course as an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto Law School for 17 years and at Osgoode Hall Law School for three years, and also taught in the part-time Real Estate LL.M. program at Osgoode Hall Law School. He is a published author and has written extensively in the areas of real estate law, infrastructure and public projects, mortgage law, condominium law, and environmental issues in the purchase, sale and mortgaging of real estate.
